iuvenis ex Caesâ insulâ in Delum ad Dianae sacra profectus, amore Cydippes nobilis puellae exarsit: sed cum eâdem potiri non posset, novam fraudem commentus, in pomo hos verlus scriptiatvit:
Iuro tibi iancta per mystica sacra Dianae,
Me tibi vemuram comitem sponsamque futuram.
Hoc pomum Acontius iecit in sinum Cydippes, quae versns legens iuravit imprudens, et illi nubere etiam morbô coacta est. Unde illud:
Quale fuit malum, quodlitera pinxit Aconti,
Qua lecta, cupido pacta puella viro est.
